I am a huge amateur of picnics. Indeed, I definately think it is one of the nicest ways to hang out with friends and have a great time under the sun. And Lucky me, at less than 5 minutes walk from our place is the best spot to do so. Follow Nørrebrogade’s yellow walls and find … Assistens Kirkegård! (in English, Assistens Cemetery). Yes… you read me well.
Going a in an old grave yard for picnic might seem a little creepy. But this eternal resting place of numerous Danish notables is now kindly stormed by locals for daily walks, rests under the sun, and picnics. Although always very respected, the place rather has the appearance of a quiet park. (And it is very pretty).
